FABL’s envisages enjoying the pride of becoming the top-of-the-rank one-stop trader, contract grower and supplier of all kinds of high quality agro-commodities in Bangladesh through maintaining a strong alliance with other small-scale trading units including contract farmers association.
FABL started maize day-trading in the year 2014 and thus intends to commence its expanded business in maize trading backed by functional contract growing operations from 1st January, 2017. FABL envisages expanding the set-up of its integrated site-specific procurement through contractual production; drying, warehousing and marketing of maize grain (14% moisture content) to meet the growing demand of the local market. Its initial product mix will include Dried Maize of acceptable standard and moisture content which will be marketed at the best competitive prices in the peak and off-peak seasons.
In a recent market survey of a local & an international agency, it was depicted that the national consumption of broiler meat and farmed hen egg is increasing at a rate of not less than 12.5% per annum. Estimates showed that local demand of dried maize by the poultry and animal feed millers already surpassed local supply.
