Reports to: Country Director, with functional links to Country Programme Development Manager and the Global Emergency Response Unit (ERU)
Under the direction and guidance of the Country Director and supportive supervision of the Global Emergency Response Unit, the incumbent is responsible for overall coordination of the CBM Country Office (CO) emergency preparedness and response portfolio, focusing on the Rohingya Response oversight and strategic steer, key humanitarian preparedness activities at country level and definition and support to design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of natural hazard triggered response (elsewhere in Bangladesh).
Aligned with CBM`s Federation Strategy 2023 and Partnership Principles, the position holder will ensure a holistic and consistent approach to crisis response by taking a proactive role in the delivery of CBM`s Disability Inclusive Humanitarian Action Initiative Strategy at the country level by engaging and leading in all phases of humanitarian crisis linking preparedness, response, recovery and development.
The incumbent will manage and supervise the Rohingya Inclusive Response Manager and Humanitarian Disability Inclusion Advisor. S/he will also work closely with the Humanitarian Finance Coordinator, DiDRR Programme Officer and other relevant country office staff, as well as with the local partners and organisations of persons with disabilities.
University degree in humanitarian/development studies, social sciences, disaster risk management or related field.
