Responsibility

  • Plan and manage the overall procurement of consumable materials, imported in a cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and products' specifications
  • Monitor all kinds of purchase orders, entire purchase cycle and keep proper documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.
  • Assess the comparative statement (CS) and assist Management to select the vendors by ensuring the best purchase deal in terms of quality & quantity of products and service level
  • Ensure development and implementation of standard policies and procedures for purchase operation of the company by following the Management instructions
  • Analyze trends in vendor pricing and business activity in order to assess present and future market situation to determine appropriate timing of purchase which ensure the best deal.
  • Develop and manage relationships with the key suppliers to ensure the effective procurement.
  • Purchase Budget & Forecasting
  • Supervise the overall purchase planning, forecasting and preparing the yearly purchase budget by analyzing business growth & market price trends and considering place, quality & quantity.
  • Drive the cost saving opportunity on budget over the year by initiating possible economic procurement and minimizing avoidable expenses to contribute overall profitability
  • Ensure execution of overall purchase (foreign) as per minimum reordering level and storage capacity of the company.
  • Negotiate and manage cost reduction on quoted value through vendor interaction and negotiation
  • Optimization of Quality, Quantity and Price
  • Ensure the product's specification in time of procurement to reduce the rejection of purchased items and monitor the on time delivery of different suppliers and vendors
  • Coordinate with all business concerns of the company and suppliers for on time arrival and receipt of imported products in order to minimize port demurrage
  • Ensure effective utilization and optimization of storage facilities of the organization by coordinating with concerned department Cost Optimization
  • Ensure the selection of suppliers, effective interaction of vendors and negotiation for best purchase prices of products by considering required quality and quantity of goods
  • Verify the stock before purchasing of the ordered products and report on any kinds of discrepancy in reordering level to control the avoidable cost.
  • Qualifications

  • MBA / Minimum Masters degree in any discipline.
