  • Red Cross-Red Crescent movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society(BDRCS), a national society of the movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President`s Order No.26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971, is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government, the Society provides humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people and over the last 47 years, has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, health, capacity building and in promoting Red Cross/Red Crescent ideals and principles.
  • Japanese Red Cross Society, a national society is also assisting BDRCS in setting up a new Health clinic in Camp 12 in Balukhali 2. For smooth functioning of this clinic, currently BDRCS is looking for suitable Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Pharmacist/ Medical Logistics Officer.
  • Duration of contract : July 2019 - March 2020

  • Age : 25 - 45 years (May be relaxed in case of potential candidate)
  • Duty Station : Balukhali 2, Ukhia
  • Purpose: The Pharmacist or Medical Logistics Officer position is to assist in the successful implementation of the health program at the clinic in Balukhali in influx as well as host community. BDRCS is participating to ensure basic needs are met of this extremely vulnerable population. BDRCS is currently providing primarily healthcare, water and sanitation assistance in the district, directed at both host community and the FDMNs. Health services are carried out through supporting health facilities in close collaboration with the government.
  • Under the direct supervision of Medical Officer and guidance of JRCS Project Manager and Health Delegate in Cox`s Bazar, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the patient care, providing health support services to the beneficiaries/patients.
