Responsible for ensuring the cost of the training and development is kept with budget limitations.
In conjunction with the Director, Human Resources and Training participate in developing a budget which will cover the training and development needs of the Hotel personnel.
In conjunction with all Department Heads develops a training plan which will meet the overall training and development needs of all employees?
Organizes, conducts and supervises orientation of new and existing employees, in conjunction with Director, Human Resources and Training.
Responsible for ensuring that all training is recorded.
Supports the Department Heads and Outlet Managers in accomplishing their training plans by:
Assists in preparing training areas
Advises on training systems
Assists in preparing training data
Help to determine training methods
Provides instructional aids and material
Sets evaluations procedures
Arranges for guest instructions when possible
Organizes and maintains the following:
Gives regular reports to Director, Human Resources and Training on training and development within the Hotel.
Responsible for ensuring that the training reports are compiled and forwarded, through the General Manager's office to the region office.
Plans, coordinates and evaluates, through relevant Department Heads, all inter-departmental training.
Plans, conducts and evaluates various off-the-job training programmes, such as Communications, Supervisory, and Courtesy, not limited to.
Responsible for ensuring that the annual training and development plan is being implemented.
Counsels the Personnel on educational courses.
Organizes and supervises all fire training in the hotel with the Chief Engineer, and keep records of the same.
Responsible for ensuring, through Department Heads, that all job descriptions are completed and that each employee has a current copy of his/her own job description.
Assists Department Heads and Outlet Mangers in preparing Standards of Operating Procedures, and personal development plans.
Assist the Department Heads in their selection and training of department trainers.
Assists departmental trainers in organizing, conducting and evaluating on-the-job training.
